How Long does it take?
Depending on the style you choose will depend on how long it will take. Also refer to our booking/prices page under the Shop menu for approximate times for each style.
Do I wash my hair before my appt?
No do not wash your hair the night before your booking. Braids go in neater and will last longer when hair is 2-4 days post washed. Hair with natural oils in it is best for braids.

All bookings require a $20 deposit, please see below details on how to pay your deposit.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
IMPORTANT BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS……
A $20 deposit is required when securing a booking at Braided Babes. Deposits are non refundable but can be transferred to another date if 48hrs notice is given. Please note your booking is not confirmed until a deposit is received.

How should I have my hair before the appt?
Hair must always be dry, freshly brushed and knot free.
All braids will turn out neater and last longer if your hair is straightened prior to your booking. This helps with clean part lines and keeps braids looking smooth and free of bumps and fuzz.
Hair is required to be straightened for all ponytail styles.
Can I swim with them/get them wet?
Yes you can swim with your braids and get them wet, however braids will look neater and last longer if braids are kept dry.
What are your hours?
Monday: 9.30am – 6pm
Tuesday: 9.30am – 6pm
Wednesday: 9.30am – 6pm
Thursday: 9.30am – 6.30pm
Friday: 9.30am – 5pm
Saturday: On Request
Sunday: On request
If you require a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday booking please message me via facebook. Saturday bookings incur a $10 surcharge. Sunday and Public holiday bookings incur a $15 surcharge. Please message me your requested time.
How long does my hair have to be to be braided?
Depending on what length your hair is can determine the type of braids you can get.
Hair to ear length – Top braids or cornrow type braids, extensions can also be added. Hair to shoulders – box braids with or without extensions.
THICK HAIR Vs THIN HAIR
Please note if you have thick short hair in a blunt cut some pieces of your hair could stick out of the extensions. If this is the case you can choose to add wrapping to your braids to keep your braids more secure and will last longer, it will also hide the pieces that stick out.
If you have thin hair then your hair is perfect for braiding and will blend with the extensions more easily.
Do I need to bring the extensions with me?
No you don’t need to bring the extensions with you. The extensions are included in the price.
Please have some sort of idea of what colour you like before your arrival as we have an extensive colour range to select from. Colours can be viewed in our shop by viewing jumbo braids.
Do you sell the extensions?
Yes I sell the extensions. Please visit our shop under Jumbo Braids to view our extensive colour range.
What is the difference between Silky and Fluffy extensions?
Fluffy extensions are thicker and have a rougher texture, they are more suitable for full braid styles. Fluffy extensions can be straightened with a hair straightener on a low heat setting. The silky extensions are thinner, smoother and have a silky texture. Silky extensions are suitable for both ponytail styles and full braid styles. If your hair is on the thicker side you may need two packets of silky extensions.
Do you have Gift Vouchers?
Yes we have gift vouchers available to purchase online in our shop or gift vouchers can be picked up from our salon in Glenmore Park.
Shipping & Returns
Jumbo Braid extensions and hair charms will be sent the next business day. Ponytail extensions and custom orders will be sent 2-3 days after payment.
We accept returns on unopened and unused jumbo braid extensions. We do not accept returns on ponytail extensions or custom orders. Returns can be made up to 14 days from the date of delivery. Returned items must be in their original packaging and in resellable condition. Please note, we do not cover the cost of return shipping.
Are you a hairdresser?
No I am not a hairdresser. Hair braiding is a specific skill that can take years to perfect. I have always loved braiding from a very young age. I am a perfectionist so your braids will be perfect and most importantly will last!
Do you do workshops?
Yes I have single or group workshops available. Workshops are tailored to suit your current skill level and what you are wanting to learn. Please contact me with an enquiry regarding workshops.
Do you do braiding parties/events?
Yes I can do braiding parties and events depending on my availability. Please message me for different party packages.
